The Last Pew was developed to let the internet community know what to expect when they go to a new church.  It was also created to encourage church attendance and build positive relationships.  This website is family friendly.  The Last Pew will not endorse the merits of one religion over another. 

Are you looking for answers?  You are not alone.  If you are unhappy with a House of Worship; try another House of Worship. Would you stop buying shoes because you didn’t like a shoe store?

I’m an independent outside observer who does not belong to any church or religious organization, nor have I ever been a member of the clergy. Analyzing scripture or preaching is not on my list of things to do.  Faith is what I have to share.

This website like other great works of art is limited by time, space, and opportunity.  “Act in Love” & “Fear Not” are the two phrases that are kept in mind when the reviews are written.  “Malice” does not have a place on this web site.

Church communities are as varied as the folks who support them.  Every review is a small snap shot of a community.  I want my readers to know what they may expect when they visit a new church for the first time.

Letter grades are given.  The grades can and may change from one service to another.  Grade inflation will not be a factor here.  The grades given are the grades earned.

Because your time is valuable, churches with grades below a “C” will not be posted on this web site.
